Carb to FI?

I just pulled a FI set up off of a V6 third gen my friend let me get off to settle a debt. Kinda looks like it was from a LS1.. but he said it was a stock motor.. its a 87 Z28.
But my question is would it still fit on my 305 and get rid of the carb?

I know they have V8's thats what im confused about.
But it looks like the motor is a V6 from a 4th gen.. And theres only 6 wires, and no spots missing on the dist. So im confused..
But what all do I need to swap it to FI?

But how is my screen name wrong? Camaro <Mustang = Camaro Eats Mustang.. wouldnt let me switch it to eat so yea...

I would get some pics, sounds confusing.

However, not v6 FI setup will bolt onto your 305.

You could always go with the TBI route, i think that would be your safest bet for FI.
