Shiny carb problem

I have an 86 trans am with a 6 months old holley shiny 4412 carb. The metering block seems to be flaking very badly stopping the carb up. Has anyone else had this problem? Someone told me that the shiny carbs have this problem. Thanks, Chris

I've only heard of it with carbs that were chrome plated by the owner.

I'd say get on the Holley tech line and see what they say.
