Non-Computer Carb Help...
I've got a well built 305 with a remanufactured Quadrajet w/ an electric choke. When the car is warm it Idles perfectly at about 600 rpm. When it's cold out and I start it she belows black smoke and needs full throttle to stay running at around 750 rpm. When I adjusted the choke Idle screw, the car wouldn't start. So, help?

Re: Non-Computer Carb Help...
Do a search under my name for choke. I explained it a few times before, I wrote up a nice article with some pictures IIRC.
There's 3 settings you need to worry about, so make sure you set all three.
The "choke idle screw" is the "cold idle" screw.
