If you have a Holley S/A.....

So, I'm rejetting the 670 S/A on the Capri over the weekend (would always cough when you gave it partial throttle. Jetted it up, everything a-ok, runs just like it should. Figured I had plenty of time, i'd go ahead and rejet the 670 on the Camaro. Rejetted the primaries ok but when I rejetted the secondaries I happened to look in the secondary fuel bowl and was like The zinc coating was blistered off BIG TIME! I was afraid maybe it was the racing fuel I've been running in it so I pulled the primary bowl again and rechecked it but it was fine. I pulled the float and needle and seat out of it and started scraping on it with a screwdriver, approximatly 75% of the coating flaked out. There's no way I'm going to trust that 25% left to not flake out so I figure I'm going to have to buy a new bowl. I happened to do a little internet research and came across this http://forums.corvetteforum.com/c3-t...apart-pic.html Sure enough, I call Holley tech and give them the date code off my carb and it's one of the ones affected. I told them all I wanted was another fuel bowl but they're sending me a whole new carb for warranty (this carb I have is a couple of years old). I'm just real glad I didn't have a flake clog a jet and lean it out. Anyway, wanted to pass on the heads up, also thumbs up to Holley for standing behind their product.
