Engine: 305 for Now

Transmission: 700R4

Holley Carb

Well got carb hooked up today. Started to turn the car over. Wouldnt start. Went back out and looked gas is pouring into the secondaries it stops after awhile. Im not to good at this any suggestions.I have the mechnical fuel that was on the car already. The car used to have a quadrajet i put a holley.

Classic "crud in the linet valve" symptoms. In yoru case, just the secondary side, apparently.

Just rebuilt it maybe I didnt clean it good enough.

Check and make sure you have ALL of the little screws back in the right place...i rebuilt my 600 vac sec and forgot the screw for the choke assembly on the carb's body and had fuel spewing out both of the "vent tubes" that run up at the front and back of the carb.
