Are you getting an accelerator pump squirt as soon as the throttle blades move? Where is your timing set? Are you using vacuum advance?

Re: need help tuning my 750dp. bogging!

On my 750 dp I had to open the secondary accelerator pump to .015 betwwen the screw and arm to cure a flat spot, I just used a feeler gauge between the actuator screw and pump arm,and it completely cured the problem, I had thought that there was supposed to be no clearance, but a friend of mine told me to try a little clearance and it fixed it, I imagine it may work the same on the primary accelerator pump as well, it sure will not hurt to try it.

I assume you mean the squirters are 35 and 37. That's a little large. You might actually be getting too much fuel.

whats a good size? i have a 31 but found my base plate cracked. so i changed the base plate to two corner idle one and used the rear two corner idle metering block. jetted the carb up a little. to 72/78 jets. used the pump cams on the base plate. 6.5 pv now. i got it to stop bogging now runs alot better uses alot less gas but i cant get my idle set it goes up and down like 500-1600 when it wants to. what could cause this?
