carb problems

carb problems

i dont know a whole lot about carburetors but i recently converted mine to e 85 and hooked it up today primed the fuel pump and gas started coming out of the vent on the front of the carb main body and is just pouring into the carb on the otherside can anyone help me out here im thinking its the floats but honestly i dont know how to preset them after the conversion thanks

Do you have a fuel pressure regulator? What PSI are you getting at the carb?

just got that problem figured out and got it running. its running really rich i have it set to 7 psi. i was wondering what a good jet size to put in it would be to get it running halfway decent to start tweeking everything. im running e 85 in this motor

What carb are you running?

If you search this forum for "e85", you'll find an extensive thread that includes jetting information.

Of course, it takes more than jetting to get it to run correctly.
