Rebuilt E4ME issues :x
hey guys, I just strapped on a rebuilt E4ME from national carburetors, thing looks great, fired up just fine. The problem is, it dosnt see like the car has as much power as it use to. I adjusted the idle, and got that nicley sitting at 800rpm (smoothest). I have a cheap narrow band A/F gauge that i used to kinda get an "idea" for what it was doing (i know a narrow band isnt a tuning tool).
Now the problem, it's running rich i believe. If you floor the car to 5.5k and let off, it'll backfire. I checked TPS voltage, and it's a tad high. 0.61v at idle, should be 0.50 according to my manual. Would that really make that big of a difference? Before i replaced the carb, i ran my old one without the TPS even plugged in (it was shot), and it never backfired.
How do i adjust A/F at WOT/Any throttle at all?
All i can see are my idle rev adjustment, and i have two idle rich/lean screws on the bottom front of the carb, one on each side.
Any ideas? Thanks guy!

TPS voltage difference that small won't make much difference. The carb likely needs to be adjusted using a dwell meter or scan tool for proper IAB/dwell setting. There's some stickies on top that explain much of that. If you've got a dwell meter, or can get one, I can help walk you through it.
WOT is controlled primarily by the secondary rods/hangers and the air valve. There's a tech article here that provides some info.
