There is nothing in your car that you can plug into that carb. You need a computer-controlled carburetor harness and ECM, along with the distributor and all sensors, to get that carb to run properly.

Re: help carb problems
Why not? I know many people who run Edelbrock carbs, which are Carter AFB's. Including myself, and it's been great. I've never run a Holley, but I don't tell anyone not to, they may prefer those over the Edelbrocks.
Have you ever run a Carter or Edelbrock?

Re: help carb problems
If the quadrajet only has a plug on top and does NOT have the three wire TPS plug on the left/front then it's a mechanical qjet and you can use it. Some mechanical models came with a two wire fuel enrichment solenoid that has a plug similar to the MCS plug on top of ccc-qjets. Odds are against this though. The ccc-qjet appeared on fbodys by at least '81 maybe earlier.

Yes on at least 6 different cars, they came with them I didn't put them on there. The Holleys I replaced them with were always a HUGE improvement. In a 4 barrel carb Holley and Holley clones are head and shoulders above the rest.
