manual pick-up to in-tank electric pump
Hey got a 86 TA, motor died, put in a 92 Buick Roadmaster 350. converted to carb. my car was originally carb(mechanical pump) so now new motor does not have cam for mechan fuel pump. I Rigged electric(el cheapo) pump by fuel tank. works well but one flaw. It clacks when I'm low on fuel and I make a fast turn. my question is. how can I get a in-tank electric pump in my current tank (whats compatible) or should I get a whole gas tank from a 87 on up efi, 3rd gen and swap. lookin at faster tunaround.
Thanks

Re: manual pick-up to in-tank electric pump
Fastest turn around would probably be new tank & sending unit. I do know that there was some sort of service bulletin for the carbed 3rd gens that resulted in an in-tank add-on pump being added, don't know if they had a special sending unit used for these cases, but that would be a bit of a challenge tracking down

All of the in-tank electric pump pick-ups are basically the same, with just different pumps.
But, a complete tank would also give you the baffling that those systems had.
