I have a edelbrock 600cfm manual choke on a 355 in my 86 iroc z, I see they have the bowtie overdrives kickdown cable assembly, they also make tv cable corrector brackets... And as far as tcc control I want a kit that includes all new transmission wireing and solenoids. What do I need to buy to have relaible transmission control.

And yes I have read through the sticky a bunch. I just don't understand all of the information in it very well. Help is much appreciated! Thanks!

Was this easy to install?? I am going to get a kit today and want one that hopefully will not be a pain in the butt to install.. I was looking at this kit and the B&M one.

 

It was easy - just a pain since the tranny pan has to come off - but I had my tranny out for a rebuild at the time, so wasn't a big deal for me. Just be very careful with the little vacuum switch they provide - I broke off the hose nipple on install - that's the only bad thing about this kit - small junky vacuum switch.

There is a kit available now that doesn't require removal of the tranny pan - it uses your existing internal parts - just changes wiring harness - it uses the VSS on the tailshaft to get speed input, and you can adjust at what speed the TC locks up - it might be the B&M kit, I don't remember - I do remember it was like $160 as opposed to the $90 most the others are - but well worth it given that you don't have to remove the pan!

 

It is the B&M one I think this is the one I am going to get..
