best fuel pump
What is the best fuel pump for my 600 edelbrock carb? i was looking at the edelbrock 1721 but it only accepts two line were mine has three line coming out why this? can anyone help THANKS

What's wrong with the one the auto parts store sells? It's a direct fit and supplies the proper pressure. Your not exactly pushing 600hp.

the reason your stock pump has 3 lines is because one is a return line. You need the extra line in the stock setup because of the fuel line location in relation to he exhaust. THe fuel gets hot and boils without the return line, called vapor lock. Unless the car has a lot of added power overstock, keep the stock pump, maybe just get a new one if its original. The other was to do things would be to get a bypass style fuel pressure regulator. Then you can use an aftermarket pump, i would go holley not edelbrock, that has 2 lines and attach the return to the return side of the regulator.
