Can I remove the gas tank vent line in the engine bay?

I swapped to carb a while back. I still have this vent line that use to run to the evap canister. Do I still need this here or can I remove it completely? Thanks

I removed the evap can, but kept the line - I just rubber fuel line to it so that it vents out under the car just behind the front tire, away from exhaust and such just in case there's ever a leak or anything with it.
