Could my holley still work?
Hey guys, My Holley 650cfm dp 6210 spread bore was damaged before i got a chance to install it.. There was a impact and the choke flap doesent seal\close properly but does move freely. there is also a small plastique lever for the choke assembly that has a small peice broken off. would it be possible to take the choke flap off and still run the carb with no choke? (i really dont know much about carbs) thanks !

You can run without a choke, probably depends on your climate. I don't have mine connected, a couple of pumps on the throttle and a few minute warming up is all you need. I see you're in Canada, might take a bit of warming up during the winter

I only use this car in summer so shouldent be a problem, so if I take off the choke assembly it won't affect anything else on the carb? I think my rochesters secondairies work with the choke??

I've never actually seen a spreadbore holley, that thing will probably have great off idle torque!

I run a Quick Fuel dbl pumper with no choke. I don't drive it during the winter so starts in the summer are no problem. If you just drive it during the summer then take the choke off.

Start at 1-1/2 turns out and adjust from there.
I ran one of those on the Camaro a couple of summers ago. Since it is made for divorced choke (thermostat mounted on the intake manifold and linked to the carb), and I couldn't find a proper thermostat for it and the ZZ4 intake I'm running, I ran with it tied open. Even in the summer, it was a pain to have to allow it to warm up every time I got in it to go somewhere. In comparison, putting the stock q-jet back on was a like dream come true.
