switching to carb advantges?
is there any performance advantages in switching to a carb? ive thought about doing it in my 1991 firebird. i have a victor jr intake and a few carbs in the garage to choose from , a holley 750 vacumm secondarie, a quadrajet, and a few holley 950 double pumpers. i think the double pumper would be to much though. would any of these give me any more hp than the stock efi? but then i also have a performance eldelbrock intake for an efi. I do know all the work reqiuerd in doing the swap, such as dropping the fuel tank and dropping the axle and everything else. i have done it before, but i dont know if its worth doing on my firebird.

you wont get any increase in performance just by switching to carb. i would never use a victor jr on a 305 either. then there would be emissions to consider. for a reliable daily driver fuel injection is hard to beat.
