CC Quadrajet Lean on Cold Start
Since I installed my WBO2 I found out that the car runs lean on cold starts. I thought rebuilding the carb might fix it, but no luck. The next thing I'm going to try is plugging all of the vaccuum lines. Anyone have an ideas of what I should look into?

Well I'm just noticing it running way lean at startup, but I think it could a little better cold.

Until it goes to closed loop, the computer carb operates on a preprogrammed basis which assumed certain things from the factory build, such as engine displacement, cam, exhaust, carb primary jets, etc. Since you have increased the displacement of the engine and changed the cam, the preprogrammed assumptions will be off. Not too surprising that it's a little lean. You can decrease the amount the vacuum break (choke pull-off) opens the choke butterfly at initial start-up, but that will be overcome when the choke thermostat opens the butterfly beyond that. I adjusted the pull-off by trial & error until it ran well when first started but still came off the first high idle step when the throttle was tapped.
A thermovac/heat riser/snorkel air cleaner would help it run a little better after starting (if you aren't running one now).
