I need tbi to carb help on wiring .Had a fire

Can anyone posts a hand written schematic on how to wire this mess up.Why the two plugs going to dist.Which one do I want?Also fuel pump in tank.

Mine is a 1992 - when I swapped to carb, I used the factory fuel pump relay, but I rewired it. I took the two larger wires from the oil pressure sending unit (these two run the fuel pump when the factory relay - ie ECM - doesn't), and I wired them to the relay. Then a hot-in-run wire to the relay, and a ground. The key gets turned on, the hot-in-run activates the relay, connecting the two wires from the oil pressure sending unit together, running the fuel pump only when the key is on.

On the distributor - do a search on here - might be something in the stickies above - I do remember the white wire is used (it runs the tach I believe), and the red wire is used - too dark now to see where and what else or I'd go look. But the OEM connector was cut off, and I crimped on standard female spade ends and plugged them into my HEI vacuum advanced distributor. I can get a look tomorrow if no one gets you better info tonight.

we would really need more info on what you would like to do. are you going to use the stock dist. or do you have an hei style. just need more info

the white wire going to the old coil is tach. the large pink wire is hot. oreilly auto sells a connector to plug in the distributor that you can splice in.there are three wires going to the oil pressure sending unit. one is the gauge. the other two are for the fuel pump relay. i removed my oil pressure sending unit and put in a 5 psi hobbs switch. then i put the wires to the fuel pump relay to the hobbs switch and then to the relay. that way i can turn the key on and the pump will not come on until the engine builds oil pressure. there is enough fuel in the carb to run the engine for about 1 or 2 minutes.
