MCS and TPS Questions
I have an '86 Q-Jet and need to know if the MCS is bad. Whats the procedure for checking this? Also, What is the range of readings for a good working TPS?

Re: MCS and TPS Questions
Well since no one else is jumping in...
Hook a dwell meter up. If the needle dances around, your MC solenoid is working. You can also ground the A and B terminals on the ALDL and turn your key to 'on' ( don't start the car ). If you hear rapid clicking, you're good.
A TPS should be around .48 volts at idle ( check for exact specs ) and about 4+ volts at WOT.
