power loss

New Holley 4160 on my Z...that said, great on take-off in first, tremendous power in 2nd (shift at 6K)and as soon as I hit third(th-350) sputter and loss of power and takes a bit before it starts to even sound correct. It is like I have to let the fuel bowls fill . Any thoughts?

Re: power loss

FYI: I really feel dumb but this was a carburated car, unbeknown to me. Needless to say, I put an in-line filter in... after I began the tuning process and really crapped up the carb from the contaminated fuel tank. After disassembly and thorough cleaning, all is right with the world now and maybe this will help someone from making the same mistake I did.

Sounded like it was running out of fuel. Glad you figured it out.
