Help with a broken part

Broken plastic piece – I want to replace this, hoping that I will not have to replace the entire cable, which I think is the throttle valve cable, There has to be a solution for this, I can’t be the first person to break this. Is there an after market piece? Do I need to replace the cable? can you remove the end and put a new black plastic piece? Any thoughts? I tried patching it may have to go back to that.
