Has anyone use a procharger with a q-jet?

 

Judging by your lack of responses on this thread, and others, i'd guess no.

Pressurizing a q-jet isn't very common. GM factory used a q-jet with a draw through setup on the turbo Firebirds in 1981, but never blow-through.

People have modified q-jets to accept blow through, but it's tricky. Different float, modified throttle shaft generally, marine accelerator pump, sealing the air intake to the carb air intake, etc...

uh, a q-jet is an excellent street carb, with great gas mileage.

Or did you mean with a blow-through setup? If you're planning on blowing through a carb, just forget fuel mileage altogether, that's a pipe-dream.

Get a dedicated blow through carb.
