750 cfm to big?
Im running a 305 with "head work" and a "mild" cam. I did not do this work so I'm going off what I'm told. I've added MSD throughout and a Holley str. dominator intake. Will a 750cfm carb be to big? All answers welcome, thanks.

I'm currently running a 600cfm edelbrock. Part of me thinks it's holding back the motor, but part of me thinks 750 cfm edelbrock might flood it out.

750....too big no matter the brand. Try a 600. It will only "flood out" with incorrect jetting. The throttle bores, when the carb is too big, will cause a lack of air velocity making the engine sluggish at lower RPMs. If the engine is not built for higher RPMs (more flow) a small carb is best.
Or better yet put a standard spread bore manifold and a Q-Jet on it.
