tpi block into carb

if i were to buy a "tpi long block" with no intake manifold, would it be possible just to put an intake manifold on with a carb or does it mean that since its a tpi block, its only set up for tpi? help please!! im not sure if it makes a difference or not??

Re: tpi block into carb

There is nothing in or on the block or heads that limits that type of intake that can bolt on. Just make sure you get an intake designed for whatever year heads you have (pre 86 or 86 and up).

For what its worth, the block I am using is the one that was in the car when I got it. When I got it, it was an L98 car (350 TPI). My brother is using the original heads off my Camaro on his carbed 85 TA.
