What carb to get?

What carb to get?
Hi guys. I have an '84 z28 with a stock quadrajet on there. It recently started acting up and I've decided to just buy a new carb. I bought this one http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/de...H19080770.html after talking to the company and they told me it was guaranteed to fit. So I rip of my old carb and go to bolt this one on and it doesn't even bolt up. Sorry if there is some help thread about this somewhere, but what holley carb will fit? I'm looking for something new, and maybe a little higher performance like the one I bought. Thanks

It depends on the intake. Quadrajets are spreadbore and holleys are square. You either have to buy a square/spread bore adapter or a new intake

If you replace your carb with an aftermarket piece, you'll also have to replace your distributor, and if you have an automatic you'll need to take care of the TCC lock-up. The easiest and arguably best thing to do is rebuild your stock carb.
