HELP! air intake

'83 2.8L v6 camaro and I cant find any CAI kits legal in CA. The only thing I did find legal was just the air filter...do you guys know any places where its cheap or ways to diy cheap and legal in CA?

Really!? Ok bec the pics that I saw have like aluminum tubing and a hi-performance filter at the end...sorry I feel stupid...

the only stupid/dumb question is the one that is not asked . in california you are very limited to modifications . check with some local 3rd gen groups . they should know what you can & can't do . good luck .

yea ill try to find some people on here because pretty much everyone in my city has 4th gen and up...oh! and one more question, if i buy a K&N air filter will it really boost my hp and fuel economy with my setup?

It helps, but you are only going to see a mile or two HW mpg difference along with a few HP increase. Cold air helps a lot, but don't spend anything over a hundred because you will just be wasting your money for any crazy dual intake, a simple 3" or 4" cai is great though

the 3"-4" ur talking about is the opening of the cai?(reference to the bottom right of my pic) or the size of the filter?..im sooo confused right now...should i get a new kit or is mine ok?
