Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold 2101 HP Question

So i have a 90 rs 305 tbi. i have a edelbrock performer intake manifold part number 2101. I elongated the bolt holes so it will fit 87 and up heads. i have a couple questions though. if i were to just swap manifolds, how would the tbi injection mount to the manifold. do they sell some type of converter. also is it worth it to do this, will i see any hp gains? i eventually want to drop in a carb'd 350 but i figured since i have this sitting around i can get this done in a day and if its worth at as far as a noticeable difference then i am going to do it. also what gaskets would i need. part numbers would really help. thanks

Yes you can buy an adapter.

No it will not make any significant difference, because that's not the bottleneck in that motor. The exhaust heads & cam are, along with the gears.

Re: Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold 2101 HP Question

If you are decent at fabricating you can make your own adapter out of aluminum using a mill and the gaskets for the carb flange and the tbi flange. One of my friends did this with decent sucess. You may see some power gains with this intake, but you need a completely new exhaust (headers, hi-flow cat, cat-back) before you will see much with any intake work. But as long as you are taking the throttle body off, you might as well do the ultimate tbi mods that are in the tech articles.

Re: Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold 2101 HP Question

Az or Advance can order the adapter for 2 day delivery at $30 - it's just a small plate that converts the 4 bolts from manifold to 3 bolts for the TBI.

But as mentioned, it's not going to increase your power any.
