Re: Carb question?

This has been covered countless times; yes you can run a CCC carb with the computer disabled/removed but it will always run way too rich and is therefore the wrong choice.

It's not. Wait until you check your mileage.

Alot of half-a$$ed stuff in the world does, until you get the opportunity to see how much BETTER it can be when done RIGHT.

Car is mainly used for strip use although its driven to track...computer was eliminated for consistency.I had a non cc q jet but cc carb seemed to accelerate better.I only want try going back to cc carb.

Re: Carb question?

Don't do it. The previous owner had one on my car and it ran horrible. It would randomly stall and would barely accelerate. I bought a holley 600 cfm carb and its way better

So since your CCC carb was f*cked up and ran horrible, that means everybody elses will run horrible too? That's not a real convincing argument...

FJA1791, if you want to go the CCC carb route, do it right and run the whole CCC system. If you don't want to run it on the computer, do it right and get a non CCC carb. Any other way is wrong.

For strip use, you may get away with it.
