Holley Fast Idle issue
What would cause the fast idle to stay on for a very long time. If I dont pop the hood and flip down the red lever to shut it off manually it will stay on. I have about a 45 minute drive to work everyday and it will still be on by the time I get there. Ive noticed only a few times has it shut itself off after a while. Engine gets up to proper temp. Its a holley 570 street avenger with electric choke. Only had it for 2 months.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Did it ever work correctly?
There are a few reasons it may not be working right.
The electric part of the electric choke may not be doing its thing. Either power not there, or it isn't heating up properly (defective choke thermostat), or it isn't properly grounded (the factory carbs had an internally grounded thermostat, while most aftermarket electric choke thermostats have a power terminal and a ground terminal).
Or, the choke thermostat is adjusted too "rich". Meaning it's turned too far in the closing direction.
Or, the choke mechanism is gummed up with dirt/crud.
