84 Camaro H code. won't idle ??
I have been working on my wifes 16,xxx mile 84 Camaro. Recently changed the fuel pump, carb. fuel filter and drained the old gas out of the tank.
It will start when cold and the choke is on, runs fine on the 2 steps of the choke, but when you kick it down and it's off the choke curcuit it wants to die.
Where are the air adjustment screws on the carb. at??
Any help is much appricated. My thoughts are is the air curcuit is plugged up from the old gas it had in it.
Thanks

Driver's side, horiz screw about halfway up the fuel bowl with a spring around it, throttle linkage comes to rest against it.
Try a new PCV valve before messing with any adjustments.
To get rid of the old gas varnish as much as possible without a tear-down, make sure the tank is as near empty as possible; pour in a gallon of lacquer thinner; run for about 5 minutes, until you can smell the LT in the carb, then another minute or so to make sure it's full-strength; shut off; wait a couple of days; put in a couple gallons of gas and then see how it is.

UPDATE:
I changed the rubber line that runs from the steel supply line to the inlet side of the fuel pump. Old line was very soft. New line installed and it seems to be idling fine now.
Hope to get it on the road this weekend.
B4 the new line it would run great on high idle and first step off high idle, but die when kicked all the way down. My thoughts are it would suck the rubber line closed or nearly closed.
