New Stainless Steel Pump to Carb Line

Just got it in today. Ordered a replacement line from the engine block fuel pump to the carb since I destroyed the one I had during the serpentine conversion.

Apparently, Classic Industries had it listed in their online and printed catalog so I took advantage of it. I was planning on buying the line and a flare tool but 300+ bucks for material seemed too much. Well here are some pics of the line. Btw, I will do the fitting tomorrow. Hope I won't have any issues with it and no extra bending on my part needed.

I paid 17.95 for the same thing at Summitracing. It was a pretty good fit minus having to bend it slightly by the fuel inlet on the carb. Also it will rest againist the water pump if you do not bend it towards the block.

Re: New Stainless Steel Pump to Carb Line

The item was $24.99 + CA Sales tax $1.94 and Shipping and Handling $7.95= $34.88 total.

Again, to me it was a bargain (if it fits without too much effort) than buying all that other stuff to make one myself or have the dealer make one for me.

Re: New Stainless Steel Pump to Carb Line

Got the new line in. Took me about an hour due to some minor bending to line it up to the carb. Now to put on some new seals on my AC compressor hose and bleed my brakes.

Re: New Stainless Steel Pump to Carb Line

Is the stock fuel line normally compatible with the AC/smog bracket?
