Wires coming from distributor
Ok im working on my carb swap from TPi and i just put my new vaccum advance distributor in there are 3 wires coming from it as pictured below. The question i have is I only have 2 wires coming from my stock harness how do i make it work?

the 3 wire connector connects to the distributor cap. (right behind where the 2 wires from your main harness connect). If you look at the first pic, your thumb is pointing at the spot where the 3 wires connect to the cap

so splice the pink wire to the red and the tach wire to the yellow?

There are TWO sets of connectors aready build into the distributor cap. Closest to the body of the distributor is a row of 3 terminals that your 3 wire plug with pop right onto. Further out on that "square" protruding from the side of the cap is a set of 2 ADDITIONAL connectors- that's where the pink and wire wires go. Pink to "+12V" terminal, white to "TACH" terminal.
That green wire in the picture is NOT the tach signal wire. The tach wire in a stock wiring harness is white (often faded a little yellowish over time, but definitely not green). The Tach signal wire should also have the same style of connector on the end that your pink/power wire has.
