Third Gen Natural Gas conversion?
I have searched and so far not found a listing for a thirdgen conversion to NG. Natural Gas will be an option for me and seems very promising for the future in vehicles alternative fuels. This considered, I have been researching the idea and will be trying to find more information about it.
Has anyone from thirdgen converted a car to Natural Gas? I have seen the website from a Pontiac GTO on NG: http://www.route66goatgas.com/ . So, I would be interested in trading information with others about the subject.

There's some pro's for going with natural gas. Depending on your area there are perks for alternative fuel vehicals. One is no cat's ect. There was a guy I knew with a monte carlo ss running Propane. Pretty cool IMO

My idea is not set in concrete, but I would consider the tank to be replacing the gasoline tank underneath or install them in the deep trunk. Two bottles may fit in the trunk. But, DreamCar did you have a car with NG in '82?
What was your experience with it? I mean, fill ups possible where you live, what power differences were there and other differences.

Re: Third Gen Natural Gas conversion?
It was a 327 with a quadrajet, and it would run on gas or gasoline. It was set up where if the butane which is what we had back then, ran out you had a large toggle switch and turn it back to gas. The large round tank was mounted behind the bucket seats. When I pulled the motor we put it in a dirt track car and ran it for a season, at the end of the season we tore it down and I had never seen or have since a motor that clean inside. Now in Bossier City we have 2 filling stations that have propane and E85 and that is what all the city vehicles use. They have plans for more.

Isnt the hatch space designed to crush on impact? Not sure though.
If it is, Im not sure how I would feel about a propane tank being there. Just something to think about for a daily driver.
