Should I use this carb?
This is a carb my dad took off his car and he said there was something wrong with it. Are these Carters any good? It should be around 650 cfm if I remember correctly. Now I want to get rid of my CC carb and get something new so would I be better off getting this one rebuilt or buying something brand new?

Any particular reason you want to get rid of the CC q-jet?
Quite frankly, any reason you would have to do that, this wouldn't be the carb to replace it. The Carters are as good as the Edelbrock Performer series carbs, since the designs are the same thing.

Re: Should I use this carb?
I want to remove the computer and the mess of wires that comes with it. I know I would need a new carb and distributor for that so i'm just shopping around. I found out my L69 air cleaner doesn't fit on this because it hits the fuel inlet pipe and i'd like to keep the cleaner on the car
