Quadrajet/Four BBL question

I'm considering converting my 305 tbi to a Quadrajet or four barrel carb, can anyone tell me what would be involved in making this switch and whether or not it would be worth the time and money?

Re: Quadrajet/Four BBL question

You'd need a manifold, carb, distributor, fuel pressure regulator, some plumbing and linkage bits, and if you have an automatic some way to control the TCC without the computer.

Only you can answer whether it's worth the time and money.

Keep in mind that technically it's not legal, regardless of whether you have emissions testing in your area or not.

Just out of interest, why is it illegal even if you dont have emissions testing in that state? (im in the UK and things like this intrigue me)

Emissions standards are Federal law and apply to all States. These laws are, however, left to the States to enforce. Some States enforce the laws more 'vigorously'.

Re: Quadrajet/Four BBL question

Yeah Michigan does absolutely nothing about it so I'm not too worried.
