were my needle and seat goes in to the carb it seems to be stripped, so when ever tighten the locking screw it pulls it right back out, the treads on the seat are fine i even tried a diffrent one. so it has to be the holes that go in the carb, so how can i fix this problem

I have a summit 600 carb, really hoping i am not screwed, so hoping for semi good news at the least

 

A picture would help me but if it is designed like a Holley then someone on this forum should have a used float bowl that would fix you right up.

 

A Heli-Coil would make it better than new. Not sure what size those are, take the threaded part to the parts store with you and match it up.

 

The threading looks like its on the body to top plate... I called summit and that's what they told me... said must likely have to buy new carb tomorrow I will check out parts store about hell-coli.. do u think guy at summit could be wrong about were threading is? Said didn't know who manufactured it so can't help me find replacement part?

 

Match up to the thing that still has threads; the needle valve.

 

you will need a new float bowl.

Still no luck... was told bowl attached to top plate so I need that.... but no luck finding it... called summit no luck.

Any advice on were to find one? Missing out on great cruising weather
