Question about leaking intake manifold gaskets

whena intake gasket goes bad from age is there a area it starts leaking first, mine i think is leaking at back near distributor, leaking straight down hitting the exhaust pipe. its a big leak. lots of water quick. noticed dripping on drivers side behind where the ac acumulator drips, , or maybe freezplugs, not sure yet.

Re: Question about leaking intake manifold gaskets

No particular area is much worse than any other... however, depending on exactly what car you have, there may be a heater hose fitting right next to the dist that's made of of some REALLY low-grade chinesium, and eventually it dissolves and leaks in virtually every car that has it.
