help me find the right quadra jet
help me find the right quadra jet
As of right now my 87 iroc is carb-less... I am really broke and heading to junk yards for a quadrajet to rebuild. My dizzy is not the original one, so I am looking for a non cc with electric choke and a spot for tv cable
So I am hoping someone has advice on finding one

Any 74 (?) and up quadrajets should be what you are looking for. Almost any vehicle GM made came with them. You'll want to shy away from Buicks or any other straight inlet quads.
I'd go hit up the F-Bodies and the trucks. Just make sure it isn't a feedback carb.

One thing that you probably already know spaigo, is to make sure and order a float with the carb. kit. It is a separate item.

If the computer harnesses are still there, you might as well get a computer carb and distributor while you're at the JY. Much more likely to have a desirable outcome that way.

Sounds like the real problem with your car isn't the carb at all, but rather, fuel delivery.
Put your old carb back on and try a new fuel pump. About $10 and 5 minutes to replace if you're slow like me; more like 2 if you're more like normal people.
