Need a part identified.
Hey guys, was breaking down my M4MC carb on my car, when I hit a major snag. As I was pulling the tophat, or airhorn assembly off, I noticed one of the outer rods? was bent. I need the exact name of these so I can get a replacement. They just seemed to maybe be pressed into the airhorn assembly. I took the carb off because i couldnt ever get the car to idle and it was constantly hissing like a vacumn line was off. If anyone knows what these brass tubes are called I would appreciate it.

There are several brass tubes; you'll have to be more specific, or post a pic.
However, being bent doesn't affect their function in the slightest. That's not the cause of the problem behavior you describe. More likely, if it's hissing like a vacuum line is off, .... a vacuum line is probably off.

Well I took a picture. And yes, I know thats not why its hissing, just added a little background info. I need one of the outer ones. Took the bad one out. This pic is of the airhorn flipped upside down. If you could give me the name of both it would be very helpful. well that didnt work.

Can't see pics from out here when they're on your C: drive.
You might not have enough posts to be able to post pics yet.
Put them on Photobucket or some such and link to them.
But that's not your problem, so it doesn't really too much matter.
You can't buy those individually anyway; only way to get them is to buy an air horn.
But since being bent doesn't matter, I'd suggest you abandon that whole line of inquiry, and look elsewhere.

well they dont operate too well if they are off of the assembly. It was pinched to the point where no air could pass through it anyway. So i pulled it off. thanks for all the responses
