How good is a 650 CARTER AVS carb
So how good or bad is a carter 650 avs carb for a 350 40 over vortec head, and long tube headers

The Carter is pretty much the same as a Edelbrock and vice versa. Need to know what cam you've got and auto or manual trans to give a good recommendation though. With a automatic and mild cam it'd be fine. Be careful if it's used, a lot of good carburetors have gone bad by inexperienced tuners and if it's well used throttle shafts could be worn out causing a vacuum leak.
