Carb'd

well its official i finally converted over to where raw power is made. starting with a 355 engine swap. i was going to go with a 383 but i didnt have the better parts needed in my budget.

355 cast steel crank from eagle
speed pro hypereutectic pistons
forged rods
l98 ported heads with 2.02 1.6 valves.
performer rpm intake 700 cfm double pumper
crane energizer cam

next is to tackle is the transmission and the rear.

i plan on upgrading the stall to a 3k rpm, trans go shift kit, corvette servo. the plans for the rear are new bearings, seals, cover, either 3.45 or 3.73 gears, and a posi unit of some type.

ill try to get some pictures up as soon as i can. im going to finish buttoning up a few things on the engine tomorrow like the serpentine set up rather than the v belt set up i had laying around i threw on to get it running and break in the cam. i still gotta put some other stuff back together, the rear is still out from the fuel pump swap and fuel line replacement. engine bay is still apart from the clean up i did to it.. lots of unfinished work i didnt feel like doing just so i could get my long awaited beast running.

ill be able to upload some pics tomorrow of the tear down of the 305 then the 355 block and heads. i dont have any final pics of that since it was too dark. if i do end up working on it tomorrow ill get final pics.

so far im very satisfied with just the sound and over look. i plan to upgrade some more at the beginning of 2013 im gonna beautify it, 1,6 roller rockers tall valve covers. solid motor mounts im gonna finish the exhaust rather than open long tubes.
