what intake and dist.
I have a 1970's corvette 350 motor with 882 series heads, I am not sure of all the internals but at present it is a TBI and rated at 300 rear wheel HP. I want to change it to carb. I am putting it in my 87 Camaro which has a carbed 305 now. I have a new Holley 650 cfm carb that I want to use. Can you give me some recomendations on which intake I should use, I want to stick with stock hood, and what HEI Dist I should use.
Thanks

A standard edelbrock performer intake should clear.

The easiest is a coil-in-cap HEI with vacuum and mechanical advance. Pretty common, many choices. I'd avoid the $49 eBay ones, but other than that, you probably won't go wrong.
2nd possibility is a small cap HEI with vacuum and mechanical advance with a remote coil, which should be similar to what your '87 has now.
I'm assuming this is the car with the TH700. If you switch to a non-computer Holley, there are two additional considerations you need to address. One is the TV cable - you'll need a "geometry corrector" bracket that bolts onto the throttle arm to give the transmission the proper information about throttle position. The other is torque converter lockup - that function is now controlled by the computer, and without the input from the carb and distributor, the computer will no longer perform that function. If you ignore either of these, you're likely to burn out your transmission.
But, I can't let this go without saying you should really consider using the factory '87 carb and distributor on the 350. It really is a good street performance system, and superior, in my opinion, to any non-computer carb system outside of all-out racing or T5 manual transmission applications. If this Holley is a vacuum secondary type, then it's a slam dunk to be inferior to the factory computer q-jet on an engine with 882 heads, IMO.

Re: what intake and dist.
I just ordered a 2101 Edolbrock Performer intake and a Street Fire HEI Dist from summit. I am getting a 700R4 with the motor with vette servo, shift kit and 2800 stahl, but previous owner did not have trans controlled thru ECM. The motor I am replacing has no computer control on the carb or dist. Since I have owned the car it has had a vacuum advance Holley on it.

It's not hard to wire up a lock up switch. Basically you need a throttle switch, a connector to the trans throttle body and wire. There is a solenoid in the TB that also needs to be wired in. You can find instructions on line and many hot rodders have done this on their old cars for better mileage.
