Removing in-tank pump when converting to carb ?'s
ok so i have an 88 camaro and am also doing the tbi to carb swap.. can i pull the electric fuel pump and strainer out and just put a inline fuel filter in before the mechanical pump like on the frame somewhere and then the class one after the pump by the carb? and what do i do with the evap line to the canister?!?!

If you are using a mechanical pump do not put the filter in before the pump. You just need one filter after the fuel pump and be careful of the type of filter you use. Some of the cheap clear filters use to cause more problems and didn't work very well. Just keep the filter away from heat sources when mounting.

You could also use a fuel pressure regulator (return style) to regulate fuel pressure to 5psi. That way you won't have to drop the tank to remove the pump. Compared to dropping the tank this says it all (way easier). I use Mallory 4309 regulator and I love it.
