Hooking up a Demon or Quick Fuel to a 700r4
I bought a Quick Fuel HR 650 cfm carb, what is the best way to hook the TV cable from my 700r4 to it?

To fit my new Demon carb I went with the Trick Flow throttle bracket. TFS 20000.
http://www.trickflow.com/largeimage.asp?part=TFS-20000
It mounts to the carb base via the studs. That meant I had to use a longer carb stud where it attaches. It was also necessary to slightly trim the TV cable adjuster as the large round shoulder on the cable doesn't quite fit the square hole hole on the bracket.
All in all it appears to be an excellent part and it was priced better than comparable brackets as it came with both throttle and TV cable adjustable mounts.
Don't forget that a geometry corrector is also probably going to be needed so that the TV cable moves properly relative to the throttle motion. I modified the Holley part to fit.

I'm not certain how the QFT carb compares to the Demon carb.
On the Demon the large nut that makes up the end of the throttle shaft prevents the Holley bracket from sitting properly against the throttle shaft linkage. It was necessary to add a spacer between the linkage and the Holley part. You can see in the photos the aluminum tubing that was used. There's also a small washer used as a spacer on bottom bolt as well.
The throttle cable is attached with a small bolt and some locking hardware.

Picture attached that shows the 2 spacers (circled in red) needed to install the Holley 20-121 geometry corrector to the Demon throttle shaft.
The blue outline shows the TV cable adjuster located in the Trick Flow throttle bracket.

Note that if you use the Trick Flow bracket and the supplied TV cable mount, that I found it necessary to slightly trim some of the plastic on the TV cable adjuster. Just enough to allow it fit into the hole on the mount.
