TBI to Carb wiring Help

I have read all the FAQs and they are not answering my questions.

Basically I have a 91 camaro which was TBI. The ECM and engine harness has been removed but the gauge harness, lights, wipers, fogs, a/c, cruise still remain. I have a carbed donor car which had no A/C but has the complete harness for carb. Can I simply plug the harness for the engine/carb controls and sensors into the existing gauge harness and have it all still work or no? Haynes manual does not distinguish between years so I assume it is the same.

I also have a non-ECM controlled distributor and the relays for the fuel pump and fans remained behind.

Thanks in advance.

Re: TBI to Carb wiring Help

Your 91 Camaro has a speed sensor speedo. More than likely your donor car, if a Camaro, will have a cable driven speedo. You will be missing the two wires from the trans tail shaft going through the ECM bulkhead connector to the speedometer buffer board.

Carb cars use a mechanical fuel pump so you will still have to wire the fuel pump relay and use a bypass regulator to set the fuel pressure.

Here is a good link for schematics. http://www.austinthirdgen.org/index.php?pid=19

If you not going to use the ECM then you will also have to figure out how to wire up the TCC circuit as well.
