A normal start should be turning the key without pumping the pedal. For some reason fuel is not staying up to the carb (can see it drain from the clear fuel filter about 5 minutes after shutdown) I can pump the pedal and she will start back up but would like to see it crank just with turn of the key. Any ideas why fuel is draining away from carb? I deleted the vapor line and have a filter on the end of hose there at the tank and I thought that might be why so I bent that hose and zip tied it but that didn't do anything.

The fuel drains out of carbs via gravity eventually however the bowls should remain full for a few days at least.Originally Posted by Sidethumper
