Something in the works...

Hey guys, haven't been around much since switching departments, but thought you guys may be interested in something I'm currently working on.

Carburetor Sending Units. No internal tank pump, just like the early models.

I was able to find a used unit from a member on the boards here and got a prototype unit in for review. Everything's looking good so far. The only part I'm having a hard time confirming is the connector going to the car. The one I received on the OEM piece was missing, so we've got the 3-pin connector currently. Can anyone confirm this by chance?

Otherwise, these should also be a direct drop in for all other 3rd gen models looking to switch over to carb and not deal with the intank pump setup.

Let me know what you think! I know these were impossible to find when I was looking before, wasn't sure if there was still a demand.

Youre talking about the wire that connects the sending unit to the Body harness at the rear of the car?

Correct! I know the fuel injected unit is 3-pin (ground, sending unit, fuel pump), but I'm not 100% on the 82-84 carb unit that did not have the helper pump. Thanks!

Ok, when I replacd my carb pickup with a FI pickup (new in-tank 255lph fuel pump), I found that I had the 3-pin because I had a dead in-tank pusher pump that I was replacing.
