Replacing old carb for a reman

Hey folks, I am brand new here and to all of this so please bear with me.

I've got an 84 TA with a stock CCC, which I've learned from poking around here is a Rochester. I'm looking to just replace it with the same model from classic industries or somewhere similar by myself.

I've tried looking for a how-to guide here because I don't want to break something trying to pull the old one out. I'm curious if it's a really intensive process that ONLY a professional should do? Or is removing/replacing one something that someone with a pretty okay understanding of tools and taking apart machinery can accomplish?

I understand that tuning will be a whole other monster and I will likely just take it into someone for that. I'm just trying to save a couple of bucks by dropping it in myself. Any tips or links to a guide? Thanks.

Try Sean Murphy Induction (SMI). He does remanufactured Qjets, and very nice ones too.

Also Cliff Ruggles who built my current carb (for a 350) and Jet Performance who built my original replacement when I still had the 305 make solid replacements.
