just bought edelbrock 1406

So im pretty sre the fuel inlet is completly different then the stock rochester. I have a edelbrock line that is just like a extention that goes down and then out. But will i need to like cut my fuel.line and use a rubber hose or aomething to get it to.fit? It says i just bolt it on but im pretty sure thats not the case

Looks like the adapter uses an AN fitting.

Also you will need a new manifold or adapter. You also wont gain any power over a well running Qjet. You will also lose MPGs.

Yeah you need supporting mods. If you're stock otherwise and just replacing the carb it's probably better to rebuild the quadrajet.

No guys my old qjet went to ****. Secondaries wouldnt open and alot other things. I will soon be gettin a new manifold. My carb currently is runnig so rich its flooding my motor. So im getting like 5 mpg. Pretty sure the edelbrock will do better then that lol

I just want to see if I get this straight. You are going to hack up the car, spend more money including new manifold and distributor all to get less hp and less mpg than a good running QJet?

Well it is your car. If it is a stock 305 the 1406 should be good, if it is modified or a 350 then change the jetting to the 1405

Yes I am done. Done trying to save you money, time, lost MPG and lost HP. As I posted before get some AN fittings attach them to your fuel line and attach them to the fuel install kit.

As for new advice I am done so just Click Here
