high idle
Hi I have 2 problems my car has been idling high around 1500 and I've noticed my one of my fuel bowls will be full then the next day the other one full and other one empty I went and got a vacuum gauge its running steady around 17 and it said to plug the pcv and I noticed when it was plugged my idle was around 900

Re: high idle
Sounds to me like the needle and seat in the carb is sticking that could account for the high idle

Re: high idle
Ok are these two the same? because I had the first one in my car figured I'd get a new one see if it might have been clogged and all they had was the one with the metal, they look different so I was unsure if they are interchangeable can I use either one or are they different setups?

Re: high idle
The one I took off on the left has a hose going to it and then fits inside the crankcase, the new one on the right I hooked the hose up to one side and the metal side goes in the same crank case hole, I just wanna make sure it can be used the same way or if it's interchangeable...on the other problem I start the car up once it warms up or I rev it once it stays at 1500 ,I checked for vacuum leaks I used the vacuum gauge and it steadily reads around 17,so if it's not a vacuum leak or bad pcv valve what else could it be spark plugs?

Re: high idle
So after adjusting idle mixture screws with vac gauge got it up to a solid 20 no fluctuations, but once my car is at operating temp and I rev it,it stays at 1200 rpm it can't be a vac leak cause the gauge doesn't move. Also the float bowls are uneven I tried untightening it wouldn't fill up..other than that car runs fine..

Re: high idle
I have a 750 speed demon ,also I Just realized that the kickdown cable isn't hooked up,but when I googled it I saw that it doesn't necessarily need to be hooked up on my transmission which is a turbo 350?
