fuel pump help

Recently aquired an 88 camaro with a 305 carb swap. Car was originally a v6 so I pulled all computer related stuff outta the car to clean up the engine bay. The car had a Mr gasket pump mounted on the drivers fender. Does that mean that the in tank pump was already taken care of or will I have to figure something out from pulling the ecm out

Since it's a carb swap, they most likely put a low pressure fuel pump in for the carb instead of simply putting a fuel pressure regulator in-line. To know for sure, you'll need to pull the tank, or find the factory wiring and hook it up to see if the in-tank pump is still there. It'll take some work since you'll have to figure out which they did.
